Mary J. Sersen

Mary J. Sersen, 91, formerly of 637 9th Ave. Bethlehem, died on Monday, October 30, 2006 at Muhlenberg Hospital.

She was born June 14, 1915 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late George and Mary Gosztonyi

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Steven J. Sersen.

She retired in 1984 from Muriel Dress Co. after 24 years of service as a sewing machine operator. Mary was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her family, Daughters, Jo Anne wife of Leonard Barkis of Bethlehem; Lucille Lucy M. wife of James Williams of Bethlehem, and Mary Louise wife of William Collis of Nazareth; Son, Michael A. Sersen husband of Sarah of Pennsburg; Sisters, Elizabeth Bonser, and Anne Trembath both of Bethlehem Twp.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Valerie Benner, Lisa Ortiz, Courtney Tipping, Caroline Williams, Eric Williams, Tara Boroson, Juli Sersen, Michael Sersen, Quinten Collis, Madeline Collis, and Steven Barkis, nine great grandchildren, one future greatgrandson and sisters in law, Isabel Sersen, Theresa Gosztonyi, and Joanne Gosztonyi.

Mary was predeceased by her Brothers, Frank , Charles, William and George and her sisters Julia Horvath and Margaret Ontko

SERVICES

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA on Thursday November 2, 2006 from 7-8:30 PM and again at the funeral home on Friday from 8:30-9:30AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church 416 E. 5th St. Bethlehem.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
