Mary Jane Schortz

Mary Jane (Kresge) Schortz, 69, of Bethlehem, PA died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family. Born February 5, 1944 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Mary (Redding) and Robert Kresge.

Jane worked at Bethlehem Catholic High School as the school secretary. She also worked in admitting at St. Lukes Hospital.

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Schortz and wife Lindsey of Belfast, ME, daughter, Linda Schortz and husband Paul Hepfer of Mountain View, CA, brother, Jerry Kresge and wife Marie of Bethlehem, sisters, Vicky Ganser and husband Al of Devon, PA and Kate and husband Tom Harnett of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Genevieve and Anna Schortz, nieces, Mary Hartnett and Cara Kresge and grand nieces, Marley Cody Hartnett and Claire Cody Hartnett.

Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Kresge.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa 18018 at 10:30 AM with a calling period from 9:30- 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's 801 Osturm St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
