Mary K. Dimmig

Mary (Kittek) Dimmig, 97, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at St. Lukes Hospice House. She was a resident of Holy Family Manor for the past 17 years. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Gasperic) Kittek. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles V. Donchez, in 1955 and her second husband, Robert V. Dimmig, in 1984.

Mary worked for the former Moravian Seminary as a service manager for 17 years. She then graduated from Lincoln Institute in Philadelphia in 1946 to become an LPN. She worked for over 20 years at St. Lukes Hospital, Muhlenberg and Holy Family Manor. Mary was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp.

She will be lovingly remembered by her niece, Shirley A. Gerhart who thought of her as a mother. She is also survived by two nephews and a niece; and her brother, Edward J. Kittek. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Kittek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Family Manor Chapel, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Family Manor.
