Mary Louise Wheeler

Mary Louise Wheeler, 82, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Kirkland Village.

She was born September 8, 1927 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Mary Curry Woodring.

She was a graduate of Liberty High School and later earned her bachelor degree in Biology from Temple University.

Mary Louise was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, Bethlehem.

She enjoyed volunteering at Lehigh University, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the American Assoc. of University Women.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David Woodring Wheeler and his wife Trudy of Atlanta, GA; Daniel Bingham Wheeler and his wife Susan of Winthrop, ME; Mark Sternberg Wheeler of Swedesboro, NJ and Anne Curry Wheeler of Macungie, PA as well as her four grandchildren, Hunter, Conor, Daniel and Stephen. Mary Louise is also survived by her sisters Nancy Estelle Rude of Lowell, MI; Patricia Anne Trimble and her husband Philip of Williamsburg, VA and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise was also preceded in death by her husband Donald B. Wheeler and her brother Ralph W. Woodring, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018 and again on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 10-11 AM with a ceremony to celebrate Mary Louise's life immediately following at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
