Mary M. Mitko

Mary M. Mitko, 97, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Holy Family Manor. She was born February 2, 1918 in Gates, PA; daughter of the late John and Josephine (Vlasko) Ezar. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Mitko in 1978.

Mary retired in 1980 from Chickadee Dress Co. after 35 years of service as a steam presser and she was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Mary was a parishioner of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, formerly Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

Mary will be dearly missed by her daughters, Dolores Pilzer and her husband, Robert of Bethlehem Twp.; Mary E. Balliet and her husband William of Northampton; Patricia J. Terry and her husband, Keith of Gouldsboro, PA and her son, Joseph F. Mitko and his wife, Nancy of Kintersville, PA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Anna Zaun, Margaret Carnihan, Stephen and Francis Ezar. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Helen Ezar and brothers, Michael, Joseph, Andrew and John Ezar.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
