Mary M. Stofanak

January 31, 1933 — May 10, 2021

Mary M. Stofanak, 88, of Bethlehem died Monday, May 10, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital- Fountain Hill Campus. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Mary (Hendrichovsky) and Albert Yenca. She was married to John A. Stofanak for 60 years until his death on November 3, 2012.

Mary enjoyed life, especially her Slovak heritage and getting together with her family and friends. Everyone was welcome in her home, family and friends would gather there often to enjoy her company, baking, and cooking. She was a faithful member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish where she volunteered her time and sang in the church choir. Mary was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, and a past president of the Tatra Slovak Folk Group. She was devoted to God, family, and friends.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sons, John A. Stofanak, David F. Stofanak and wife Susan, and Kenneth A. Stofanak and wife Nancy, her sister, Sr. Ann Marie OSF, two grandchildren, David Stofanak and Sara wife of Andrew Glovas, step grandchildren, Amy wife of Jason Schatz, Ashley wife of Steve Barron, and Mark Pruitt, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George and William Yenca and sister, Anna Timko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 15th at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, Pa 18015 at 10 AM with a calling hour from 8:30-10 AM. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Center for Renewal, 395 Bridal Path Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017 or to Incarnation of Our Lord Parish.
