Mary P. Weida

Mary P. Weida, 85, of Hellertown, passed away Thursday July 26, 2012 at her residence. She was born on June 8, 1927 in Bethlehem daughter of the late Anton and Mary Pirscenok. She was the wife of James A. Weida. They celebrated 57 years of marriage this past May 28th.

Mary worked for the former Western Electric for 32 years retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed her grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida with her husband where they were members of the Savannah Club. They also played golf and enjoyed the outdoors.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James, son Dr. Thomas Weida and wife Dr.Jane Weida of Lititz, Pa., sister, Dr. Anna Herz wife of Dr. Julius Herz of Riegelsville, Pa. and 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Katherine, Emily and Peter.

Funeral services will be held 10AM Monday July 30, 2012 at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 980 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, Pa.18017. Calling hours will be held 7-9PM Sunday evening at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018, with a Parastas service at 7:30 PM and Monday morning from 9-10AM at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice Development Office 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015, and/or the Leithsville Building Fund,c/o Se-Wy-Co Fire Co. 3621 Old Philadelphia Pike Bethlehem, Pa. 18015.
