Mary R. Mcintyre

Mary “Jean” R. McIntyre, 103, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Friday May 14, 2021. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Daniel and Regina (Murray) Barr. For over 50 years, until his passing in 1992, she was the devoted wife of the late Joseph J. McIntyre.

Jean lived out the message “to have a friend, be a friend”. She was a “collector of people”, lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Including her newest friends among the residents and staff at Country Meadows. She had great faith and was active in parish groups; including St Simon Seniors. Her kitchen was always open to friends and family for food and “board meetings”.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Joseph McIntyre Jr., Thomas McIntyre and wife Cheryl, Andrew McIntyre and wife Sarah, and daughter, Pamela Potts and husband Donald, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Daniel McIntyre, and two daughters-in-law, Susan McIntyre and Diana McIntyre.

A calling hour will be held from 9-10am on Thursday May 20, 2021 at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
