Mary R. Steixner

Mary R. Steixner, 94 of Bethlehem; died on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Hospice House of St. Lukes. She was born January 27, 1920; daughter of the late George and Rose Mary Mazsa. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John L. Steixner. She attended Liberty High School and was a parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem.



Mary dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Nancy Houser and her husband, John of Bernville; Rosemary Makosky and her husband Ronald of Bethlehem Twp.; and Kathleen Sullivan and her husband James of Macungie as well as her seven grandchildren, Matthew Houser; Nadene Tanis; Colleen Broome; Kevin, Christopher, Timothy and Bryan Sullivan; her great grandchildren, Jacob; Alex; Delaney; Alich; Lauren; Daniel; Gabriel; Eryn; Addison; Riley; Andrew and Noah. She is also survived by her siblings, Anna Kotsch and George Mazsa. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Meckes and her brothers, John and Joseph Mazsa.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice House c/o development office, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
