Obituary of Mrs. Mary Royko Marini

Mary Royko Marini, 91, of Bethlehem, died at her residence on Friday, February 24, 2012.

She was born October 28, 1920 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Anthony and Fannie Ballek Royko.

Mrs. Marini is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, John W. Marini.

She was a graduate of the Bethlehem Business College in 1941.

Mrs. Marini retired in 1978 after 28 years of service as a Meteorological Technician for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA Satellite Service. She also served as a Slavic language translator for the U.S. Government.

Mrs. Marini was a member of St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem and was active with the Lydia Circle. She was also a member of the South Bethlehem Historical Society. Mrs. Marini also enjoyed sewing and was proud of the clothing she created.

Mrs. Marini is survived by her husband and two nephews, Joseph and Dominick Marini and a niece Mary Margaret Stefchak.

Services have been entrusted to the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11 AM at St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church 617 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Interment will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
