Mary T. Zabrecky

Mary T. Zabrecky, 91, formerly of Bethlehem, most recently of Emmaus Village, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was born March 2, 1922 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Toth. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Zabrecky.

Mary worked for the Chemical Lab at the Bethlehem Steel during WWII. She also worked at various silk mills, Just Born, Durkees Food and Schoenen's Market, all while dedicating herself to her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Dolores "Lori" Zabrecky of Macungie and Joseph Zabrecky and his wife, Julianne of Waxhaw, NC as well as her grandchildren, Jordan and Connor. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Acocks and her sister, Irene Bogar.

Mary was a member of the Edgeboro Women's Democratic League, where she assisted at the polls. She enjoyed gardening, baking Hungarian food, visiting her grandchildren in Orlando and watching the Phillies. She will most especially be remembered for her smile.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 10:30-11:30 AM with a ceremony to immediately follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Arcadia Hospice 7248 W. Tilghman St. Allentown, PA 18106.
