Mary Z. Darnall

Mary Z. Darnall, 87, of Morris Plains, NJ died on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.

She was born November 3, 1920 in Lancaster, PA the daughter of the late Emlen H. and Mary E. Bowers Zellers.

Mary was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James A. Darnall.

She dedicated her life to her family and her community.

Mary was a volunteer for St. Claire's Hospital and worked the polls for many years. She was a longtime member of Glacier Hills Assoc. and a charter member of Parsippany Troy Hills Women's Club as well as numerous other civic organizations.

Mary enjoyed playing bridge in her free time. She was a Bronze Life Master bridge player and instructor to many friends and relatives.

She will lovingly be remembered by her family; son, Bob and his wife Nancy of Huntsville, AL; daughter Pat and her husband Ed Pitera of Allentown, PA and son William and his wife Beth Anne of New Hope, PA as well as eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brother Richard Zellers and his wife Diane of Jacksonville, FL and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Zellers of Lancaster, PA.

Services have been made with the guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem, PA

A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Mary's Birthday; Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11 AM in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 5 Simpson Ave., Mt. Tabor, NJ 07878.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
