Maryann Ruggeri

MaryAnn Ruggeri, 91, of Bethlehem peacefully entered eternal life on August 17, 2021 while in the care of the devoted staff of Country Meadows, Bethlehem Twp. For 67 years she was the loving wife of Julius T. Ruggeri, who pre-deceased her in 2018. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Lucy (Merwarth) Deegan. MaryAnn was a faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church for over 60 years where she volunteered for several years as a receptionist. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling. MaryAnn will be remembered as a devoted wife, dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful friend.

She is survived by her children, Michele Moore (Jerry) of Greensboro, NC; Michael Ruggeri (Beverly) of Pittsburgh; Joseph Ruggeri (Tammi) of Whitehall; Anthony Ruggeri of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Christopher, Philip, Thomas, Rachel, Patrick, Carly, Danielle Ruggeri; great-grandchildren, Garret, Cameron, Alma Ruggeri; and sisters Catherine Nunzio, Marjorie Wilbur, and Dorothea Sewald. In addition to her husband Julius, MaryAnn was preceded in death by an infant son Timothy Ruggeri; brothers Edward Deegan, Joseph Deegan, and William Deegan; and sisters Suzanne Cressman and Jane Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. all in St. Anne R.C. Church, 450 E. Washington Ave. Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association or St. Anne School Endowment Fund, 375 Hickory St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18017.
