Matthew Joseph Monahan

Matthew Joseph Monahan, 25, died Thursday January 7th at his residence in Bethlehem Township where he and his family have resided since 1993.

Born in San Francisco, CA he is the son of Frank and Deborah Stabile Monahan of Bethlehem Township.

Matthew graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grade School and Freedom High School of Bethlehem PA and received his BS in Computer Science and recently earned his Masters Degree of Science in Instructional Technololgy, graduating with Honors, both from Bloomsburg University.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Surviving with his parents are his sisters; Kelly of Philadelphia and Molly at home and his brother Bryan at home. He is also survived by his Maternal Grandfather Frank Stabile of San Francisco, CA, a Paternal Grandmother Carol Becerra and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins residing in California.

He was preceded in death by his Grandmothers Patricia Stabile and Virginia Monahan.

Matthew was an intelligent, good hearted son with a great sense of humor. We will miss him dearly and are comforted in our faith that he is at peace with our savior.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday Jan. 13th at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3229 Santee Road Bethlehem, Pa.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday Jan. 12th at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, Pa.
