Melissa Carrigan

Melissa Carrigan, 41, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday July 31, 2011. Born in New Jersey on December 29, 1969, she was the daughter of Ann Marie Fortune Kraft, of Bethlehem, and the late Peter F. Kraft.

She was a graduate of Freedom High School, St. Luke's School of Nursing, and Cedar Crest College where she earned her BSN and graduated magna cum laude. She was employed by Pocono Medical Center where she was a Coronary Care Critical Nurse. She had previously been employed by St. Luke's Hospital for over 19 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ryan Carrigan, daughter, Kayleigh Sprague; mother, Ann Marie Kraft, brother, Peter Kraft and wife Elise and their daughter, Alyssa; aunts and uncles, Veronica and James Heston and family, and Patricia and Thomas Fox and family; cousin, Joseph Reisinger and family; and close friend and companion, Sherwin Schrag. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter F. Kraft, paternal grandparents, Mary and Benjamin Kraft, maternal grandparents, John and Mary Fortune, aunts, Maureen Koval and Kathy Fortune, and cousin, Kurt Reisinger.

Calling hours will be held, in the funeral home, on Thursday August 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St. Bethlehem Township. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
