Mercedes Ramirez Fontanez

Mercedes Ramirez Fontanez, 87, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at St.Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eladio Fontanez and Flora Gonzalez. She was the wife of the late Rafael Ramirez.

She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Victor D. Baez and his wife Angelica of Allentown; Angel L. Cruz and his wife Margie of Bethlehem; daughter Maria M. Cruz and her husband Anibal Diaz of Allentown; brothers, Rodrigo and Nicanol Fontanez of Bethlehem; Emilio and Clemente Fontanez of Puerto Rico; sisters, Petra Colon of Bethlehem; Lucia Velez, Teresa Fontanez and Juana Fontanez of Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
