Merritt C. Dauernheim, born in Allentown on October 21, 1943 passed away at his home in Bethlehem on February 13, 2012. For 46 years, Merritt was the loving husband of Jackie Hetrick Dauernheim and would have celebrated their next anniversary in March.
Son of the late John W. Jr. and Lorre L. Beitler Dauernheim, Merritt is lovingly remembered by his wife, four daughters and their families; Tracie , wife of John C. Musniskey and their children Tabitha, Zachary, and Nicholas; Tammy , wife of Samuel Claudio Jr. and their children Joshua, Jacob, and Jesse; Tiffany , wife of Marc A. Burritt Sr. and their children Jessica and Marc, all of Bethlehem; and Trisha , wife of John Williams of Chambersburg, PA and their children, Olin and Hayden.
Merritt was preceded in death by his brother Dale and is survived by two brothers and four sisters. He served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army and worked for General Electric for many years and retired from National Magnetics.
Services: On Saturday, February 18, 2012 visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Christ Fellowship Church, 1213 West Chew St., Allentown, PA 18102. A burial with military honors will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park and afterward a reception will be held at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017 or the Alzheimer's Association Lehigh Valley Branch, 617-A Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055.
