Michael A.?Smokey? Kristofik, 84, of Bethlehem, PA died Tuesday May 1, 2007 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

Born September 23, 1922 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Anna Sucansky and Simon Kristofik. He was married to Irene ?Renee? Wasko Kristofik who passed in September 2003.

Michael was a member of Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel as an electrician for 41 years and retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Jenota Society. He was also a member of the USWA Local 2600. Michael proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater in the Air Force Signal Corp. attached to the 7th Air Force. He served in Hawaii and the Marshall Islands as a technician 5th Grade Corporal during WWII.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Deborah Pastelyak wife of William, of Bethlehem and a grandson Eric Pastelyak.

He was preceded in death by his six brothers Joseph, Simon, Stephen, Frank, John, And George Kristofik, five sisters Anna Brugger, Mary Pastir, Margaret Cunningham, Helen Soos, and Josephine Adamcik, and one granddaughter Jenna Rose Pastelyak.

SERVICES

Visitation will be Friday May 4, 2007 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem from 7-9 PM and again Saturday May 5, 2007 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Services will be Saturday at 9:30 AM followed be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042.
