Michael Bachik

Michael Bachik, 84, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at St. Annes Retirement Community in Columbia, PA. He was the son of the late John and Mary (Kopcho) Bachik and preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Klumpp (1979) and his second wife, Nancy Schutter (2009). He was also predeceased by his siblings: Clarence, George and John Bachik, Paul Bacik, Mary Slaski and Agnes Szarko.

Michael was employed, for 41 years, by the Bethlehem Steel as a lathe machine operator. In the 1950s he served in the US Army being stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a devoted husband who enjoyed friends, Musikfest and the attributes of midtown Bethlehem from his home on West North Street. He and his late wife Nancy attended Christ Church UCC.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Sat., May 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum.
