Michael G. Schrader

Michael G. Schrader, 63, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Norma V. Riegger and George M. Schrader. He was married to Nancy J. Schrader. They celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this past February 14th.

Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work for Bethlehem Steel as a supervisor in the Mailing Department for 17 years. He later worked for CCI, Bell and Howell, and most recently with DT Davis Enterprise. Michael also worked as a motor route paper carrier for the Morning Call for over 20 years serving Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Township area.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy J. Schrader and his canine companion, Macy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, friends, children and grandchildren.

Services: A viewing will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and again Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the funeral home. A service will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem with Military Honors.
