Michael Gaydos

Michael Gaydos, Jr. 94, of Bethlehem passed away on Tuesday September 27, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pa. He was born on October 31, 1921 in Allentown, PA , son of the late Michael and Anna (Fedoranko) Gaydos. He was also the husband of the late Elizabeth (Zaun) Gaydos. Michael was a metallurgist for Bethlehem Steel for 46 years. He was a member of Holy Ghost Church in Bethlehem. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII as an aviation radioman and also graduated from Allentown High School in 1939. Michael was also an avid golfer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kathleen Bickert and husband LeRoy of Nazareth, sister, Frances Horvath, grandchildren, Matthew Bickert, Jennifer Chrin, and Erik Volkert, and great grandchildren Evan Chrin, and Annmarie Chrin. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Gaydos.

A prayer service will be held 9:30am Monday October 3, 2016 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Holy Ghost Church 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. A viewing will be held 6-8pm Sunday evening and Monday from 8:30-9:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
