Michael J. Connors

Michael J. Connors, 60, of Bethlehem passed away Monday February 28, 2011. Born February 27, 1951, he was the son of the late James F. Connors, Jr. and Jeanette T. Connors. Michael graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1969, and continued his education at Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland where he graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a Vice President with Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. in Princeton, NJ where he was employed as an officer of the company until retirement. His exceptional career started with Hartford Insurance Company. A talented high school baseball player, Michael was scouted by professional baseball teams and was passionate about sports. Michael will be remembered for his great sense of humor and kind and generous nature. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and he was always there to help family and friends.

Survivors: He is survived by one sister, Joan L. Zaun and one brother, Robert J. Connors of Plano, TX; his companion, Pattie O'Neal, nephews, Bill and Sean, nieces, Sharon, Barbara, and Heather, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Services: A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday March 8, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 7-9PM and Tuesday morning 10-11AM at the funeral home. Burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
