Michael J. Roarty

Michael Roarty, 49, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Manor Care, Bethlehem. He was born in Washington, DC, the son of the late James P. and Mary Roarty.

Michael worked for Giant Food Store and previously at the former Laneco Food Store as a produce manager for many years. He attended Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Michael was also a member of Heights Athletic Association, Bethlehem and the Fleas Club in Easton. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and a fisherman.

Michael is survived by his sister, Kathleen, wife of Michael J. Petko and his brother, Patrick J.; husband of Tami Roarty and step-mother, Mary Alice Roarty all of Bethlehem.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and again on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem.
