Michael J. Stern

Michael J. Stern, III, 64, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

Born on January 11, 1957, in Bethlehem, he was the son of Anna Mae (Shimko) Stern and the late Michael J. Stern.

A graduate of Freedom High Schools Class of 1974, Michael went on to earn a bachelors degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University.

He began a life-long career with the United States Postal Service while in high school, moving to a full-time position in 1980. He retired in 2011 as a supervisor, closing a career of thirty-one years.

Outside of work, Michael loved to hunt and fish. He also had a fondness of turtles and educating others about them, which he carried from childhood, caring for a few as pets.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Stern.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-nine years, Judith A. (Seidenberger) Stern; one son: Bryan Stern; one daughter: Amanda Stern; his mother: Anna Mae Stern; and one sister: Carol Ann Tomko Stern.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 10:00am until 12:00 noon.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.
