Michael Martinez

Michael Martinez, 78, of Hellertown, PA passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St.Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. Born October 12, 1931 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Marie Albanese Martinez. He was married to Mary Kniha Martinez with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage this past October.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked various jobs at the Bethlehem Steel but spent most of his career in Machine Shop #8. He was a past member of the Kiwanas and the Hellertown Lions. He was also a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Hellertown.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Martinez, daughter, Michele Linsky, son, Matthew Martinez, brother-in-law, James Kniha and four grandchildren, Dana, Tyler, Morgan and Marisa.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:00-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church 1408 Easton Rd. Hellertown, PA 18055.
