Michael Mudri, Jr.

September 4, 1927 — May 30, 2008

Michael Mudri, Jr., 80, of Bethlehem, died peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2008 at his Residence.

He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Michael and Anna Pekar Mudri.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Anna Mudri of Bethlehem.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Michael retired from the Bethlehem Steel in 1983 where he worked as an Expeditor.

He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem; where he was very active.

Michael is survived by his wife, Anna; sons, Michael Thomas Mudri of Bethlehem and Robert John Mudri of Delaware as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Mudri, granddaughter Terri Delker, sister Anne Faryniak and his brother John Mudri.

He was very honored to be a member of the American Legion and dedicated many hours to his fellow veterans. He was American Legion Eastern Vice Commander from 2005-2006, 30th District Commander from 1986-1988, Dept. Sergeant at Arms 2003-2004, Department Assistant at Arms, Department Membership Committee Vice Chairman 1999-2003, Dept. Counter and Subversive Activities Committee Chairman, 30th District Deputy Commander, 30th District Membership Chairman, Past Northampton County Commander, Past Post 31 Freemansburg Commander, Delegate to Dept. and National Convention, 40-8 Voitor 697, Carbon and Northampton Counties Member and Past District Commanders Association Member. He was also a Chapel of the Four Chaplain Legion of Honor Member, and was a member of various other national committees.

Michael was a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club and was a baseball coach for over 20 years including little league, Jr. Legion and American Legion levels.
