Michael N. Potkovac Ii

Michael N. Potkovac II, 83, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Bethlehem; son of the late Michael N. and Alice (Noonan) Potkovac. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Annette (Dick) Potkovac. Michael proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and earned his Masters degree from Kutztown University. Michael was a biology teacher and coach at Liberty High School for 30 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #313 and was involved with the St. Francis Friary. He enjoyed gardening, attending auctions, and creating furniture.

Michael is survived by his wife, Annette; children, Matthew and his wife Suzette of Bethlehem; Denise Potkovac of Bethlehem; Mark of Houston, TX; John of Easton and Michele Cuvo and her husband, Anthony of Coopersburg. He will also be dearly missed by his 17 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Potkovac-Roth; son, Michael III; granddaughter, Maryssa Roth; sisters, Margaret Warnke and Mary Potkovac and brothers, John and Joe.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another visitation will be held from 9-9:45 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or to St. Francis Retreat House 3918 Chipman Road, Easton, PA 18045.
