Michael Petro

Michael Petro, 88 of Bethlehem, PA died on Tuesday, December 29th at his home. He was married to Marie Mikitka Petro for 63 years before she passed away in March of this year. Born in Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Stulak Petro.

Michael worked as a welder for the Eaton Corporation. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite in Bethlehem. He was also a member of the MORA Club in Bethlehem,

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael G. Petro and wife Susan of West Norriton, PA, and John J. Petro and wife Ruthann of Bethlehem, daughter, Joanne M. Long wife of Roger of Bethlehem, sister, Irene Horvath of Bethlehem, brother, George Petro of Bethlehem, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his brother John Petro, Jr. and his sisters Mary Petro, Helen Boksan and Anna Bednar.

Panichida will be held Saturday January 2, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by Office of Christian mBurial 10AM at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 8-9:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
