Michael Rasiak

Michael Rasiak, 85, of Easton, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Gracedale Nursing Home. He was born in Dusani, Ukraine on June 2, 1926. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosa (Kastenhofer) Rasiak.

Michael worked as a custodian for the Port Washington school district in New York. He was a veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of: St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church of Bethlehem, American Legion Post #9 of Palmer, Oddfellows, VFW, MORA Club, and Scheabisch Gmumd.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Rosa; sons, Jerry and wife, Jennifer, and Thomas and wife, Jeanne; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan, Brian, Nicole, Jackie, Walter, and Allison; and great grandson, Michael. He was preceded in death by his cousins, Walter and Katherine Zagwoski.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where viewing hours will be held on Monday May 14th from 7 to 9 p.m. with Parastas beginning at 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday May 15th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. An Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton.

In lieu flowers memorials may be made to the church.
