Michael Schoenen

Michael Schoenen, 61, of Bethlehem died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at the Moravian Village Skilled Nursing Facility, Bethlehem. He and his wife Janice C. Czerwinski Schoenen were married for 32 years. He was the son of Lois Dunstan Schoenen of Easton and the late Robert J. Schoenen, Sr.

Michael graduated from Drexel University with a degree in accounting. He worked briefly at Bethlehem Steel Co. then entered the family business, the former Schoenen's Market in Bethlehem, from which he retired as a co-owner in 1995.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janice, two daughters Kelly Murabet and her husband Khaled of Bethlehem, Brittany E. Mayock and her husband Tom of Tallahassee, FL, one son Ian M. and his wife Stephanie of Chicago, his mother Lois of Easton, one brother Robert J. Schoenen, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bethlehem, two sisters Heidi Jaquith and her husband Robert of Bethlehem and Candy Miskevich and her husband Bob of Bangor. He will also be missed by his two granddaughters, Nicola and Ondine.
