Michael Slivko, 101, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at St. Lukes Hospital-Anderson Campus. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Ruyak) Slivko. Michael was born on April 5, 1921 in Bethlehem and was the son of the late John and Julia (Leso) Slivko. He worked at the Saucon Open Hearth for the Bethlehem Steel for 42 years retiring in 1981. Michael was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was a past member of Heights Athletic Association, Bethlehem.
Survivors: In addition to his wife of 57 years; daughter: Carol (Richard L.) Heckman of Emmaus; grandchildren: Tara L. Heckman of Emmaus; several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Joseph, John, Charles, Andrew, Mary Barner, Anna Bankowski, Helen Lerch, Julia Melinsky.
Service: Family and friends are invited to a viewing 10-11am, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnson Drive- Bethlehem followed by a service at 11:00 am. The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. The family is requesting attendees to wear a mask. Online condolences may be offered at www.connellfuneral.com
