Michael T. Bedics

Michael T. Bedics Sr., 82, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, October 07, 2013 at Gracedale. He was born in Bethlehem; son of the late Michael F. and Frances (Anderko) Bedics. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn (Smith) Bedics.

Michael was a graduate of Moravian College and worked as an estimator for both Bethlehem Steel and the Bensing Company. He was an avid sports fan, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carolyn; son, Michael Jr. and wife, Denise of Salisbury Township; daughters, Mary Beth Bedics of Bethlehem, and Kathleen, wife of Robert Colton Jr. of Nebraska; sister, Margaret Leunis of Connecticut; grandchildren, Trey, Meghan & Drew Colton, and Kelsey & Jenna Bedics.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Bela, Frank, John & Stephen; sisters, Helen Rowe, Anne Mangum & Frances Cassidy.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the Gracedale nurses of Tower 6 and the staff of the St. Lukes Hospice.

Viewing hours will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Wednesday Oct. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. A 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem 18020. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
