Michele J. Knecht

Michele J. Knecht, 52, of Allentown, died Friday April 3, 2009. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Papson Trescak. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Harry W. Knecht, Jr.

Michele was employed by St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem for 25 plus years. She worked as a unit clerk in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Pavilion. In the early part of her life she grew up in the catholic faith and was a member of St. Anne's, Bethlehem. She later became a member of the United Church of Christ, Schoenersville and served on their council. She enjoyed sitting on the beach and loved cutting the grass. She especially loved spending time playing with and spoiling her grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Harry, son, Mark H. husband of Deb, daughters, Christine Ann wife of Kevin Hartwell, and Yvonne Marie wife of Thomas Vallone, brother, Michael Trescak, and grandchildren, Tye Vallone, Kevin Michael and Jake Hartwell, and Kaitlyn and Anna Knecht.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem PA 18017.
