Mickelena Burgermeister

Mickelena Burgermeister,98, of Bethlehem died on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Manor Care-Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Joseph Burgermeister. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Genevieve (Riddo) Saurino.

Mickelena had been a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary parish in Bethlehem. Years ago she worked in the laundry at St. Luke's Hospital, then at Grant's Department Store and spent the last 15 years of her working years in the housekeeping department at Holy Family Manor taking care of the priests, retiring in 1982.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons Joseph M., Robert and Michael Stewart, 4 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandson. She was predeceased by her daughter Genevieve Stewart and a brother Joseph Saurino.

Services to celebrate her life will be on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00am in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A calling hour will precede the services. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Hellertown.
