Mildred A. Mcginley

March 21, 1925 — December 9, 2007

Mildred Millie A. McGinley of Clearwater, Florida died on Sunday, December 9, in her home. She was 82. She was a former, long-time resident of Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

Millie was the daughter of the late Amos Stamets and Anna Knoble Stamets of Phillipsburg and the beloved wife of Thomas F. McGinley for 56 years until his passing four years ago. He was a former president and owner of McGinley Mills of Phillipsburg.

She was a 1943 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. She was employed by Davies Strauss Stauffer and McGinley Mills, both formerly of Phillipsburg.

Mrs. McGinley served as a director of Candle Artisans, Inc. of Washington, N.J. and Designer Dispatch, Inc. of Plumsteadville, PA. She also served as a volunteer reader for WRRS/RADPRIN, a Lehigh Valley radio station serving the blind and print handicapped.

She was a former member of St. James Lutheran Straw Church in Phillipsburg and a member of Holy Apostles Church in Dunedin, Florida.

Millie is survived by a son, Thomas J., of Bethlehem; a daughter, Carol, of Apex, North Carolina and four grandchildren. She leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of love given to her family and many devoted friends.

A memorial service will be held in Florida at the Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, Florida at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 15.
