Mildred B. Davis, 85, of Harrisburg, formerly of Bethlehem, PA, entered eternal life on Friday, February 8, 2013 in The Homeland Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 20, 1927 in Northampton, PA; she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Bessie (Reppert) Correll Sr.; she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Davis Sr.; her brother, Edward J. Correll Jr.; and her faithful yorkie terrier, Mandy.
Millie was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, and its Coffee Cup, PIPC, and The Rutherford House; she also volunteered for Downtown Daily Bread. She loved nature and animals, especially dogs and birds. She took great delight in calling her children every spring to tell them when she saw her first robin. She made many friends at Ecumenical Community, where she loved life for the past year. Millie was a very proud mom and her greatest joy was her loving family for whom she always had a warm hug, kiss, and an I love you more than you know.
Survivors: She is survived by her son, Raymond J. Davis Jr., of Harrisburg; two daughters, Cheryl A. Holtzman, husband, Jim, of Paxtang, and Jayne L. Serino, husband, Frank, of Lenhartsville; grandchildren, Dan Holtzman, wife, Kristin, of Rockaway, NJ, John Holtzman, wife, April Tichenor-Holtzman, and Meghan Serino, of Lenhartsville; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary Holtzman; her two sisters, Ethel Bahnick, husband, Paul, of Northampton, and Ruth Ann Colonello, husband, Joe, of Vancouver, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: A visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will also be held at 10 a.m. prior to Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Also, a visitation will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem.
