Miriam Tisdale Griffing

Miriam Tisdale Griffing, 85, of Bethlehem died on Monday, January 12, 2015. She was born one of ten children on August 10, 1929 near Mayesville, Sumter County South Carolina; daughter of the late Louis C. and Henrietta (Touchberry) Tisdale. She will be remembered for her enjoyment from spending time with her grandchildren, playing chess, baking apple pies for family and friends, volunteering for various charities, listening to classical music and tending to her plants. Miriam worked for Muhlenberg Hospital Center and Union Bank and Trust Co. in Bethlehem for many years. She was a member of College Hill Moravian Church.

Miriam will be dearly missed by her daughter, Marguerite Griffing-Johnson and her husband, Michael and daughter, Cynthia Griffing-Snyder and her husband, Charles all of Bethlehem; as well as her grandchildren, Shannon Johnson and Andrew Griffing-Snyder .
