Nancy J. Sandor

Nancy J. (Kananen) Sandor, 75 of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Laurium, Michigan on February 14, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Ina Elvira (Waananen) and Eino R. Kananen. She was married to Stephen Sandor with whom she celebrated 40 years of marriage this past November 20th.

Nancy dedicated herself to raising her family. Prior, she worked at Ingersoll Rand and she later worked for Liberty Abstract in Bethlehem. Nancy also graduated, magnum cum laude, from Moravian College with a degree in accounting. Nancy was a member of VASA, which is a Scandinavian American Fraternal Order. She also volunteered her time at Musikfest for over 20 years and also at the voting polls in her district.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Stephen, son, Jeremy Sandor, daughter, Alissa Day wife of Michael, brother, David Kananen and wife Kathy, nieces and nephews and 2 grandchildren, Skye and Nevin.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11 AM, with a calling hour from 9 to 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 617 A Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055.
