Nancy Kay Moran

January 11, 1948 — May 10, 2022

Nancy Kay Moran, known by all as Kay, 74, of Bethlehem, PA, died from a sudden and brief illness, in her home on May 10, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. Kay was born and raised in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Connor Wadsworth. For forty-five years, Kay was a devoted wife to her husband, Robert Thomas Moran, Jr. (“Robby”).

Kay began her professional career in Northeast Pennsylvania, starting out as a cashier at the First National Bank of Jermyn, now Community Bank, NA. While there, Kay met and fell in love with Robby. The happy young couple then relocated to the Lehigh Valley where Kay continued her career in financial services, having been employed at various banks throughout the years. After her retirement from banking, Kay was employed in the finance department of ArtsQuest, where she enjoyed working with some of her best friends.

Kay was also an ardent civic volunteer in the Bethlehem arts and cultural community. She specifically made her mark at the annual “Musikfest,” an organization and event that she helped build and popularize over nearly forty years of service. Even after her retirement and until recently, Kay continued to devote her time to the ArtsQuest organization, and she was an active volunteer at the seasonal “Christkindlmarkt” event.

A zealous fan of Duke college basketball and major league professional baseball, Kay most enjoyed the time she spent traveling throughout the country with Robby to “catch a game.” Although she was happy as a passionate spectator on the sidelines, Kay was also very proud of her own physical health and she was faithful to her daily gym routine. In recent years, Kay loved spending time and gathering during birthdays and holidays with her adoring grandnieces and her grandnephews. Throughout her life, Kay maintained her membership in the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, and, later in life, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem.

Kay will be dearly missed by her husband, her brother, Grant Wadsworth, her brothers-in-law, Larry and Barry Moran and their wives, as well as five nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

The family will receive guests from 10:30-11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022 followed by a blessing and memorial service in Kays honor at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Memorial contributions can be made to ArtsQuest and/or Boutique at the Rink.
