Nellie E. Doncsecz

November 19, 1925 — December 18, 2007

Nellie E. Doncsecz, 82, of Freemansburg died early Tuesday morning, December 18, 2007, at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke?s, Lower Saucon Twsp. She was the wife of the late William S. Doncsecz who died in 1993.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Feher Salontai.

Nellie was a lifelong member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Years ago she had worked in the local textile industry, as a floor lady at Sure Fit and as an examiner at the Forte Neckwear Company.

Over the years she enjoyed bingo, Saturday night cards with her friends and family, needlepoint and crocheting. She was known for her cooking/baking, hosting big holiday family gatherings and always sending cards for birthdays and special occasions.

Family was most important to Nellie, especially her grandchildren and great grandson, all the apples of her eye.

Surviving is a son, William D. & his wife Patricia, with whom she resided, two sisters, Laura Esposito of Palmer Twsp. and Elsie Ament of Bethlehem, three grandchildren, Keith & his wife Adrienne, William III and Deanna and a great grandson Jacob Patrick.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law Brigitte, wife of the late Elmer Salontai.

Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers Elmer, William, Andrew and Joseph and sisters Mary Salontai and Grace Kern.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, 12/26 from 6:30PM ? 8:30PM and on Thursday, 12/27, from 9:15AM ? 10:15AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Services will begin at 10:15AM on Thursday at the funeral home and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM St. John Capistrano Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
