Nemesio A. Padua, 83, of Bethlehem, died at home with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born in New York City, son of the late Nemesio A. and Alice (Krick) Padua. Nemesio is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy S. (Santa Maria) Padua. They just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on April 14th of this year.
Nemesio voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve during the Korean War. Upon returning from war he worked for a brief time at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. and later began his over 43 year career in the banking industry.
Nemesio is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Michele Andrews and Lynn Matthews, wife of Peter all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Jacob and Emma; as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Lysek and her husband, Stanley.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be private.
