Nilda Alvarado

Nilda Alvarado, 81, of Bethlehem, PA died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Eulalia (Irizarry) and Felix Quioes. She was married to Domingo “Mingo” Alvarado for over 50 years until his death on January 20th, 2016.

Nilda was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem, where she volunteered much of her time and was also involved with several groups such as the Cofradia, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministry, the Cursillo, John 23 and others. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends, opening her heart and doors to many, treating everyone as family. Nilda will be missed by all those that knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Abigail Druet, Arlene Ortiz and Betzaida Pezua, sister, Patria Vega and many grand children and great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30th at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Nildas name to Holy Infancy Catholic Church.
