Nimrod "Bud" Nelson

Nimrod “Bud” R. Nelson, 85, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of Ursula (Pieper) and Nimrod J. Nelson. He was the loving husband of Shirley (Nuernberg) Nelson.

Bud was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem and The Knights of Columbus Council 313. He enjoyed gardening, bike riding and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Nelson; Children, Richard Nelson, husband of Solange, Mary Lisa, wife of Deacon Mike Toolan, Carl Nelson, husband of Erin, Stephen Nelson and Suzanne, wife of Frank Ocello; brother, Clifford Nelson; sister, Joanne Nelson and 16 grandchildren. Bud was predeceased by his brother, John Nelson and sister Saundra Edwards.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
