Obadiah E. Lopez

Obadiah “Obi” E. Lopez, 38, of Bethlehem, Pa. passed away on Monday March 13, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pa. He was born in Bethlehem, son of Hector Lopez and step mother Margarita of Bethlehem and son of Myrna (Davila) Rivera and husband David of Bethlehem. Obi was very involved with community work for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He loved helping people at his job through Spin Inc. and listening to music and singing the gospel. He enjoyed collecting pens and note pads especially from his doctors. Obi always wanted to keep everyone happy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, paternal grandparents, Jose Grajales, and Candida Rodriguez, maternal grandmother, Carmen Elkouby, brother, Hector L. Lopez II, sisters, Sarah Shelton and husband Elrige, and Candida Candie Ramos and husband Ricardo all of Bethlehem.

A prayer service will be held 8:30am Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9am at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. A viewing will be held from 7-9pm Friday March 17th, 2017 and Saturday from 7:30-8:30am at the funeral home.
