Olga Sawarynski, 87, fell asleep in the Lord on October 18, 2007 in Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem on April 17, 1920, she was the third child of Michael and Agrippina Kokash Radchuk. She married Michael Sawarynski on October 26, 1940 and was married for 54 years until his death in 1995. She is survived by one son, Deacon Mikhail Sawarynski of Northampton, two daughters, Nadesda Mack of Pen Argyl and Nancy Stellato of Bethlehem Twp. She has nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also has one surviving brother, George Radchuk, of Bethlehem. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deaceased by her brother, Alexander and sisters, Catherine and Anna. Olga owned and operated Olga?s Grocery Store on East Seventh Street in Bethlehem for 28 years before retiring in 1978. She was a communicant and lifetime member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church of Bethlehem.
Services: A Trisagion Service will be sung at the church at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007. A viewing in the church, 980 Bridle Path Rd. Bethlehem, will follow from 10-11 a.m. The Burial Service will begin at 11 a.m. and burial will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Hellertown. Donations in memory of Olga may be made to OCMC in care of the church. May her memory be eternal! Arrangements are entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem.
