Olivia C. Vargo

Olivia C. Vargo, 83, of Upper Macungie Twp. died on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late James & Flora Mae Maute McKelvie. Her husband, the late Laddy Vargo died in Dec. 13, 2000.

Olivia was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's and then at the dispensary of the Bethlehem Steel Co. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed sewing.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Phyllis J. Gross and her husband John J. of Hellertown; Flora M. Nehilla and her husband Stephen F. of Hellertown; and a brother James V. McKelvie and his wife Joanne E. of Neffs.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Friends may call from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
