Oma C. Strain, 83, of Steel City died Sunday July 9, 2006, in her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Veto, Alabama; she was the daughter of the late Belton and Etta Mae Southerland Scott. She was the wife of the late John V. Strain.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Oma was a gifted seamstress, an avid gardener and held a special place in her heart for children; especially her own children, grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by: sons, James W., John C., Michael R., Stephen D., and David S., all of Bethlehem; daughters, Dolores M. Maioriello of Easton and Geraldine DeSantis of Bethlehem; fourteen grandchildren and; fifteen great grandchildren.
Services: Wednesday July 12th at 11 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St; Bethlehem. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
