Patricia Ackerman

Patricia Louise Ackerman, 72, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Brian D. Pernin, Saint Luke's Hospice House. She was born on July 23, 1952, in Bethlehem, PA and raised at 1987 Brookside Drive, Parkridge Housing Project in Bethlehem, also lived 30 years on 449 Carlton Avenue, Bethlehem, and later on Hilltop Terrace, Bethlehem. The daughter of Ferdinand and Dorothea (Reese) Ackerman. She once was the wife to Geza P. Burkit, Sr, who died in 2017.

She graduated Liberty High School class of 1971, a lifetime member of the Holy Ghost German Catholic Church (now Roman Catholic Church) in Bethlehem, she worked at Holtz N company, and later Dempsey's restaurant. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister who loved life, she never had much but gave what little she had, she was always kind and had Unconditional Love towards all, she loved her children, parents and family, mother earth, nature and animals, she believed there are things in life money cannot buy and that is love, a rare once in a lifetime person.

Survivors: She is survived by her sons, Geza P. Burkit, Jr., Robert D. Burkit and wife Malinda; her daughter Kathleen R. Burkit; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Julie Burkit; Her siblings, Sharon (Ackerman) Johnson wife of the late Russell Johnson, Matthew Ackerman, James Ackerman and his wife, Valerie; Nephews James and Shawn Ackerman; Niece Tabitha (Johnson) Hannum. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick P. Ackerman (2020).

Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem.
