Patricia Catherine Eyer

January 9, 1934 — July 4, 2013

Patricia Catherine (McGrath) Eyer, 79, of Bethlehem, wife, mother, and dear friend, died July 4th, 2013, in Phoebe of Allentown. Formerly of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, she was the wife of James Andrew Eyer, who predeceased her September 12, 1997, as they neared their fortieth year of marriage.

Always well regarded in her work outside the home as a bank teller, her true calling was at home where she devoted every ounce of her energy to the utterly unselfish loving care of her family.

Born in Kearney, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Patrick McGrath and Catherine (Taggart) McGrath. She was the sister of the Fred McGrath and the late Robert McGrath.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She is survived by her five sons, James Andrew and wife Regina of Glen Rock, New Jersey; Patrick and wife Marie of Charlotte, North Carolina; Gregory and Annette of Lyndhust, New Jersey; Robert and wife Charleen of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Joseph and wife Diana of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Katherine, Joshua, Emily, Christopher, Brooke, Emma, and Lincoln.

Services will be held 1:15pm Monday July 8, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 2pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling hours will be from 12:15pm-1:15pm at the funeral home.
