Patricia Marie Brown

Patricia Marie Shanahan Brown passed away in her home in Brea, California in May of 2022 at the age of 76.

Born in 1946 in White Plains, New York to Edward and Geraldine Shanahan, Pat was the eldest of four daughters. After graduating from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Bethlehem, PA in June of 1968, she moved to Orange County, CA. She worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings, including hospitals, private practice, and at California State University Fullerton, for close to thirty years. While her children were attending Saints Simon and Jude Elementary School, she worked as the school librarian.

Pat enjoyed spending time with friends and family, laughing, and telling stories. She was known for her motherly kindness and compassion to others, making her an outstanding nurse. She also indulged in a passion for travel later in life, visiting England, Scotland, and Ireland, where she loved tracing her Irish family roots.

She is survived by her three children, Tim (Melissa), Tara, and Ryan (Sun Min), her adored granddaughter Arianna, and her three younger sisters, Eileen, Kathleen, and Veronica.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:30am to honor her life. The celebration will be held at the Connell Funeral Home at 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by the committal at Holy Saviour Cemetery at 2575 Linden Street.
